Septic Tank Pumping

On average septic pumping is recommended every 3-5 years.

We are able to evaluate how often pumping or maintenance is needed for your system specifically based on your type of system, the size of your tank and how many people live in your home.

Not only does your septic system contain sewage. Your water from taking showers, washing dishes and doing laundry drains into your septic tank.

It is important to be mindful of what is going into your system. Some examples of products not approved for septic systems are baby wipes, grease from cooking and personal hygiene products. Anything that does not break down could potentially cause an issue.

Maintaining your system is vital to keep your family and pets healthy. It reduces the risk of people getting sick from untreated sewage and contaminating groundwater.

The Septic Pumping Process

Locating / Digging

Exposing your system is the first step.

Do you know where your septic tank is located?

You may have large green lids out in your yard. If you do, your system is likely ready to be serviced.

If you do not see any large green lids in your yard, your system may need locating and exposing.  If you would like us to locate your system we have multiple ways to find your system.

Cutting Costs At the Time of Pumping

Locating and exposing your septic lids before we arrive to pump your system will save you money.

Septic Pumping

Once your system is located and exposed we are ready to open the lids and pump out your tank / tanks with our Truck. This typically takes an hour, depending on when your system was last pumped. Tanks that have a gap of time for service may be thicker and take longer to clean.

After evaluating the condition of you system we can help you come up with a pumping schedule to keep your system up and running.

We then are ready to haul the sewage to the treatment plant.

Pumping Report

A pumping report is required to be filed with the health department after being serviced. You may ask for a copy of the report to be emailed to you for your records.

Do you need to be Home at the time of Service?

You do not need to be home at the time of service in most cases. If you call and arrange payment with permission to access your yard we are able to provide service. If you're experiencing a back up, we prefer someone is home to make sure the toilet can now flush.

Septic Inspections

Septic inspections are recommended every 1-3 years. It is important to have an in depth evaluation of your system to look for potential problems early. The type of inspection depends on if its a county inspection or home sale inspection. The inspection report is always filed with the health department and the report is available to be emailed to you.
